Is Peace Possible?
11 Days of Discovery
As a grandmother of four—including three children under six years old- I have been concerned about how to arm my grandchildren with effective tools to become peacemakers in the world. Recently, at a global citizen meeting of regular people committed to helping make this a more peace-filled world, it was announced by Jon Ramer of the Compassion Games that he wanted to put forth a challenge where people could form Peace teams to explore the question “Is Peace Possible?” And explore the idea with their peace team and then post what they found over the 11 days leading up to International Peace Day on September 21.

Is Peace Possible? 11 Days of Discovery
I asked AI (ChatGPT) to help me create a fun, art-filled, 11-day children’s workbook for parents and teachers, focusing on teaching children one peacekeeping skill a day over the 11 days. Using social-emotional practices supported by research from institutions like Harvard University, UNICEF, and other national child-development organizations.
AI laid out 11 ideas that would be important for kids to learn. Ideas that help children strengthen empathy, cooperation, emotional regulation, and peaceful problem-solving methods—the essential skills of a peacemaker.

I then went in and helped AI with prompts to create visuals, so while the adults read about the skill, the children could see a fun, playful image and color it in if they chose.
